![]() ![]() The server said they are not deep fried but were fried (I am assumed sauteed?). The home fries are not hash, they are cubes. For brunch, we both ordered the steak and eggs. They used a sweet chili and soy sauce on the plate so it does not overpower the fish. The presentation was beautiful (picture attached). The calamari was lightly breaded and not greasy. If you are swinging by, need to make a pit stop, or live in the area, I recommend stopping in! We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer - HOLY WOW. It is on a main road, easy parking, right off the highway. I drive past this place all the time and finally decided to pop in once I saw that they offered brunch on the weekends. There is a diverse brunch/lunch menu at Creo. We passed on dessert because we had cupcakes from Bella Napoli back at the office (refer to my Unilocal review). The plate was a good size and he ended up not being able to finish them, but not because they weren’t delicious. Joe, had the fish tacos and commented that they were tasty. TJ, our intern, ordered a chicken casserole flatbread with cheddar cheese sauce, oyster crackers and broccoli. Not too much cheese and just the right size for a single lunch size serving, but $ 14 seemed a bit steep. I ordered a margherita flatbread pizza and it was tasty. And if you tell your server that you have time constraints they will work to accommodate. I will say that my previous review mentioned slow service and that has not been as big an issue as it was in 2014. We told her that we were in a time crunch and had to be out of there in an hour. Cheryl, our server, was very nice and attentive. Not able to sit outside on the patio because it was too chilly but that can be a pleasant option in the summer. Showed up at 11: 30am for an early lunch and was seated immediately (no surprise).
